Students learn traditional songs & dance moves and creation stories from a First Nations Educator.

About this Experience

The Experience: Barama, a proud Goreng Goreng / Noonuccal man will teach students to sing an Aboriginal and a Torres Strait Islander song and explain the lyrics and what the songs are about. This is followed by learning about traditional dance where students get to practice some traditional dance moves, including imitations of certain animals. Students learn about the world view of Aboriginal people and their deep connection to all living beings and to country through Barama’s storytelling. A range of authentic cultural objects is presented during this experience as well. We supply: One educator, cultural objects, pull up banners. We need: Sufficient floor space for students to dance.
